BioI was a pretty cool guy. Was. Now I just sort of sit at home and watch TV because of my damned heart condition. Someone just shoot me now. Seriously.

Ted is very, very big geek. He's mostly been fairly happy-go-lucky with a side of sarcasm. A very good, loyal friend. When he first started out in the superhero business, it was as a debt to a an old college professor, Dan Garrett, and he didn't always take the job seriously. He was big on money-making schemes and promoting himself. Not at the expense of others usually but there were times when he was very, very selfish.
This was before he lost the group he'd been working with and retired. At which point he focused on inventing --which had always been his passion anyway-- and taking care of his family's company. A few years down the road he connected with a woman who ended up not only being about as big a geek and just as computer saavy as himself but also had been Batgirl and now was a heroine known as Oracle who used computers and other people to fight. (This is all very, very summarized as it would take the better part of a week to explain it all in detail.)
He reluctantly began to reconsider superhero-work only to discover after saving kids from a fire, that he had a serious heart condition. As a result, he can't fight at all really.
It hasn't made him too terribly bitter but then when you dress like a blue bug, you sort of figure that not everyone is going to take you seriously anyway. However, computer and technology-wise, Ted is highly-skilled. Very competent and focused.Same goes with weapons and the ship he uses and security systems.
Around people, he's friendly -- perhaps a little too open about everything with the exception of his superhero persona -- but somewhat shy. Particularly around women as he's never had much luck with them.
